The Summary page appears when you start the ColdFusion Server Monitor. It provides an indication of the overall performance of the server. It displays the following reports:

Report

Description

JVM memory status

Indicates the amount of memory in megabytes that the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) is using. The JVM is specified on the Java and JVM page of the ColdFusion Administrator. The graph is updated in real time. The time is the local time of the ColdFusion server. You can view the memory usage since starting the Server Monitor, for the most recent minute, or for the most recent 5 minutes by selecting Entire Data, Last minute, or Last 5 minutes, respectively, from the drop-down list in the upper-right corner of the report

JVM memory status is estimated and may vary from actual JVM memory status. The total amount of memory that the server is using includes not only the sum of all the scopes and request memory, but also data that ColdFusion stores for performance optimization such as template classes, data source information, and the like.

Average response time

Indicates the total response time divided by the number of requests. You can view the average response time since starting the Server Monitor, for the most recent minute, or for the most recent five minutes by selecting All Data, Last minute, or Last 5 minutes, respectively, from the drop-down list in the upper-right corner of the report.

Requests per second

Indicates the number of requests processed per second. Requests include browser requests, CFC HTTP requests,  web services, gateways, and Flash remoting.

Running and queued requests

Indicates the requests that are running and requests that are waiting to be processed in the queue. Requests include browser requests, CFC HTTP requests,  web services, gateways, and Flash remoting.

Slowest active requests

Lists the slowest active requests that are slower than the threshold set on Slowest Requests page. The number of requests in the list depends on the report size set on the Slowest Requests page.

Alerts

Lists any alerts. To specify when an alert is generated, select Alerts > Alert Configuration. Alerts indicate whether your server is approaching a hung state or if is running slowly.

Last error

Lists the most recent error generated by any application on the server that is in the included paths specified on the Filter Settings page.
